Princess Haya's message
When I was still a little girl, my late parents, His Majesty King Hussein and Queen Alia, took me to the opening of the Haya Cultural Centre. I did not realize at the time as I was cutting the tape that I was facing what would be a beacon of art and culture in Jordan and that my life as a child and the lives of many children would take shape here. My parents have always believed in the importance of creating a safe environment for the children of Jordan so that their talents can flourish, their abilities mature, and their friendships expand. They got what they wanted when the Haya Cultural Center was founded in 1976, and I think it was one of the most beautiful gifts my father received because he wanted it so much! I spent my childhood days in the corners of the Haya Cultural Center, and it became a second home for me, carrying within its walls memories, laughter, and successes. As the years pass, generation after generation graduates and their light shines in our societies. There is no doubt that the Haya Cultural Center has left an imprint on my life and the lives of its children, and its touch has had a great impact on the journey of each of us. I cannot help but feel very proud to see that he does not hesitate for a moment to develop his programs, increase his activities, hone children’s talents, and enhance their abilities so that they can be creative in their fields and be our efficient and generous leaders of the future. My wish is that this cultural and artistic edifice remains a starting point for the successes of future generations and a starting point for every child’s journey of achievement. With the efforts of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors, and the Haya Cultural Center staff, and with your belief in our message, the Haya Cultural Center will reach every child of our beloved Jordan!
